How a conversation with waitress changed how we operate our Godspeed Education Consultancy

There’s a local restaurant near my place where my friend and I often hang out whenever he visits Nepal from the UK. Since his parents is the landlord of the restaurant, my friend and I are there most of the time, any day of the week

We knew most of the staff by their names. We enjoy chatting with them and having a good time together. Our conversations are usually casual, often asking about their plans, such as whether they’re considering going abroad and, if so, where they’d like to go.

Among the staff, there were two waitresses who were best friends and started working at the restaurant on the same day.

Later, I learned that one of them had already left for Canada, while the other was awaiting a decision regarding the US.

After my friend returned to the UK, I visited the restaurant after a long absence. During my visit, I had a conversation with the waitress who had been awaiting a decision regarding her US application. She informed me that she had been rejected.

I asked if she was considering reapplying. She revealed that she had already invested around 1.4 lakhs in the application process, and not sure if she could afford to reapply, feeling uncertain about her future prospects.

I asked her whether the consultancy she had applied through would help her in exploring other study destinations. She replied, even when she was doing IELTS and whenever she asked for help and guidance, she was consistently prompted to make a payment before receiving any help.

As guest was waiting, she excused herself to welcome them. I sat there sipping my beer and thinking if there is something I could do to help her or if there were opportunities I could seize.

One day, I was at a consultancy to learn from a counselor. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard a conversation between the counselor and a student who had applied to study in Malta and had an interview the next day.

He mentioned that this was his third and final attempt, as he had previously tried applying to study in Australia and the UK but got rejected both times. He also said he had already spent about 4.5 lakhs on the application process.

What I gathered from these two conversation is that for some students, their dream dies before it even begins.

So, at Godspeed Education consultancy, once you applied through us, we promise you that we will support you from application to visa success, including applying for you in another chosen destination(s) at no extra cost until you succeed (except where 3rd party payments are involved).
